Start-up retail provider National Gas & Electric, LLC applied for FERC market-based rate authority, stating that it is, "seeking to obtain licenses to provide retail electric service in several states that offer electric retail choice."

National Gas & Electric is owned directly 100% by NuDevco Retail Holdings, LLC. NuDevco Retail is owned 100% by NuDevco Partners Holdings, LLC, which, in turn, is wholly owned by NuDevco Partners, LLC. NuDevco Partners is owned 100% by W. Keith Maxwell III.

As a result, National Gas & Electric is affiliated with Spark Energy and various Spark affiliates
