N.H. Approves 30% Increase in Default Service Rate

The New Hampshire PUC approved a 30% increase in the residential and small commercial customer default service electric rate at Liberty Utilities (Granite State Electric)

The Liberty Utilities residential and small commercial customer group default service rate was set at 9.221¢/kWh for the period November 1, 2015 to July 31, 2016.

The current Liberty Utilities small customer default service rate is 7.063¢/kWh

The PUC approved the following rates for Liberty Utilities' large customer group (¢/kWh):

November 2015    7.770 
December 2015    9.593 
January 2016    12.037 
February 2016   11.824 
March 2016       9.075 
April 2016       6.941 
May 2016         6.122 
June 2016        5.541 
July 2016        6.020 

All rates include the RPS adder and reconciliation.

TransCanada Power Marketing, LTD was selected as the winning bidder to provide default energy service to the small customer group for the period November 1, 2015 to July 31, 2016.

NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC was selected as the winning bidder to serve the large customer group for the period November 1, 2015, through April 30, 2016. Dominion Energy Marketing, Inc. was selected as the winning bidder to serve the large customer group for the period May 1 through July 31, 2016.
