Mass. DPU "Expects" Interim Shopping Website Will Allow Suppliers To Post Two Types of Fixed Term Products
While, "still working out the details of the interim website," the Massachusetts DPU informed retail electric suppliers, for an interim shopping website that will go-live before this winter season as work continues on the more robust final site, that, "we expect that it [the interim site] will allow each participating supplier to list pricing for two fixed-price products (i.e., a six-month product and a twelve-month product) for residential customers."
As previously reported, the interim solution is intended to allow customers to compare competitive supply pricing with electric distribution company basic service pricing
The DPU also "expects" that the interim site will provide suppliers with, "an opportunity to inform customers about the broad range of other products offered (e.g., renewable energy products and offers that include other products and services)."
In a letter to suppliers, the DPU said for suppliers to have their products listed on the first day that the interim website is live, suppliers must complete the sign-up form by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14th.
