After Disposing Of Current Retail Suppliers, Parent Starting New Retail Provider, Names Former Retail Supplier CEO As VP

Aspirity Holdings LLC f/k/a Twin Cities Power Holdings, LLC, which has been the parent of Town Square Energy, LLC and Town Square Energy East, LLC (f/k/a Discount Energy Group) until completion of a restructuring, is staying in the retail energy space after it disposes of its two prior retail suppliers.

As part of a restructuring, Aspirity Holdings is making a distribution of 100% of the equity interests of Krieger Enterprises, LLC, the direct parent of Town Square Energy, LLC and Town Square Energy East, LLC, to Aspirity Holdings' members. After the restructuring, to be completed in November, Aspirity Holdings will no longer own Town Square Energy, LLC and Town Square Energy East, LLC.

However, Aspirity Holdings is creating several new retail suppliers -- Aspirity Energy Northeast will serve retail electric customers in the ISO-NE and NYISO footprints, Aspirity Energy Mid-States will serve retail electric customers In PJM and MISO, and Aspirity Energy South will serve retail electric customers in ERCOT.

These new suppliers have begun the process of becoming licensed as retail energy providers in all 14 jurisdictions that allow for full retail choice for all customer classes, with an Ohio application already filed. Aspirity expects most of the licensing processes to be completed by the end of 2015 and that it will be able to offer electricity service beginning late in the 4th quarter of 2015 or early in 2016

Additionally, Jeremy Schupp recently joined Aspirity Energy as Vice President and Chief Supply Officer

Schupp was previously President and CEO of energy.me, LLC, a retail supplier with $140 million in annual sales supplying the electricity needs of more than 10,000 residential and commercial consumers across PJM and MISO, from January 2013 through September 2015

Prior to energy.me, Schupp was Director of Consulting for INTL FCStone Inc.

Schupp was Group Manager - Commodity Procurement for Nestle USA from June 2008 through April 2012.
