Texas REP Announces Critical Peak Rebate Program

First Choice Power publicly announced a critical peak rebate program for Texas customers that is substantially similar to other programs at affiliated Direct Energy companies

Under First Choice Power's Power Down Rewards program, customers reducing demand beyond a set threshold versus a baseline receive a 5% bill credit.

First Choice Power's Power Down Rewards program informs customers that peak events may occur between the hours of 1pm and 7pm on a summer day, or, from both 6am to 9am and 6pm to 8pm on a winter day (the customer would need to reduce demand during both winter time periods)

Participation is voluntary with no penalty for non-curtailment
