Viridian Energy Launches In Texas

Viridian Energy has launched service in Texas

Viridian said that it is offering Texas customers a 36-month fixed rate (3DOM) which includes a loyalty rebate equal to 5% of usage over a three-year term. Viridian is also offering a "minus-5" rate plan, which is priced, "5% below the norm," or 5% less than, "the median rate in your market."

In the Oncor service area, the Viridian residential minus-5 plan is a 12-month fixed rate plan with 50% green power with an average all-in rate (at 1,000 kWh) of 8.27¢/kWh. A minimum usage fee of $9.95 applies for billing cycles with under 1,000 kWh usage. A $2.95 fee applies if the customer does not use auto-pay. The product includes a $199 early termination fee

Viridian also offers a residential index rate plan with 50% green power, which currently has an all-in average rate (at 1,000 kWh) of 9.16¢/kWh in the Oncor area. A minimum usage fee of $9.95 applies for billing cycles with under 1,000 kWh usage. A $2.95 fee applies if the customer does not use auto-pay. There is no early termination fee

Service is available at Oncor, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, AEP Texas Central, AEP Texas North, and Texas-New Mexico Power.
