Pennsylvania Sees Largest Increase in Residential Electric Shopping In At Least Two Years

Pennsylvania saw its largest net increases in statewide residential electric shopping since at least the start of 2014, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC

From late October 2015 to late November 2015 (reporting date varies slightly by utility), Pennsylvania saw a net increase of 8,400 accounts in the number of residential customers who were on competitive supply statewide.

For comparison, from late September to late October, statewide residential shopping had declined by about 200 accounts.

The net increase of 8,400 residential electric shoppers statewide is believed to be the largest such monthly gain in migration since the start of 2014 (July 2015 had seen an aggregate increase of about 7,000 residential shoppers)

The change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply at each utility from late October to late November was:
