CenterPoint TDU Report Funds Still Available for REP Reimbursements for Provision of Smart Energy Devices To Low-Income Customers

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC filed an updated report, with data as of October 31, on the program under which Texas retail electric providers are reimbursed for providing no-cost programmable communicating thermostats (PCT) and in-home displays (IHD) to eligible low-income customers.

From May 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC provided $2.3 million in reimbursements to Retail Electric Providers (REPs) that distributed 6,915 devices (4794 PCTs and 2121 IHDs) to 5,237 eligible low-income customers in CEHE's service territory.

Some $4.1 million remained available for REP reimbursements under the program at CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric as of October 31.
