Withdrawal of Texas REP Certificate Approved

The Texas PUC approved Star Electricity, Inc.'s application to relinquish its REP certificate. Star Electricity, Inc. was merged into its parent company, Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. effective December 31, 2015. All of its customers and their deposits became assets of Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. as a matter of law at that time. Constellation NewEnergy has applied to add the trade name StarTex Power to its REP certificate. PUCT Staff have recommended approval of the application, but an order granting the application had not been issued as of publication time
