Addition of StarTex Name To Constellation NewEnergy REP Certificate Approved
The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted an application for a REP certificate amendment filed by Constellation NewEnergy in which Constellation NewEnergy sought to add the trade name StarTex Power to the certificate, as a result of a previously reported corporate restructuring under which the StarTex Power entity (Star Electricity, Inc.) was merged into Constellation NewEnergy. The final order makes reference to a "relinquishment" sought by the applicant (e.g. Constellation NewEnergy), but this is ostensibly a scrivener's error from a companion application filed by Star Electricity for the unused Star Electricity certificate to be relinquished (which was approved last week)
