Reporting by Karen Abbott • kabbott@energychoicematters.com

Pepco has filed with the District of Columbia PSC new SOS electric rates for the period of June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017.

For residential customers and small commercial customers under GS LV ND, the new generation rates are about 4-6 mills/kWh lower than comparable rates over the last SOS period.

For GS LV customers, the new generation rates are about 1¢/kWh lower than comparable rates over the last SOS period.

As part of the rate changes, Pepco is proposing to decrease the Administrative Charge for Residential customer classes from $0.0035/kWh to $0.0030/kWh, and the Administrative Charge for Small Commercial customer classes from $0.0061/kWh to $0.0030/kWh. The Administrative Charge for Large Commercial customers and Market Price Service customers are to remain at $0.0050/kWh and $0.0079089/kWh, respectively.

Generation rates (excludes bypassable transmission and procurement cost adjustment) for selected Pepco rate classes are below; rates for additional rate classes may be found here (click here). Note that the rates below are proposed and are reproduced as-filed, with rates subject to PSC approval; in the past Pepco has corrected the rates after the initial filing.
