TXU Parent Sees Marginal Uptick in Net Residential Customer Churn; Grows Large C&I Book

Energy Future Holdings, parent of TXU Energy and 4Change Energy, saw a marginal decline in its residential competitive retail customer count from September 30, 2015 to December 31, 2015, with the decline slightly higher than that experienced from June 30, 2015 to December 31, 2015

EFH's retail suppliers saw their residential customer count decline by 4,000 from September 30, 2015 to December 31, 2015

That compares to a loss of only 2,000 residential customers from June 30, 2015 to September 30, 2015, a loss of 8,000 customers from March 31, 2015 to June 30, 2015, and net growth of 4,000 residential customers from December 31, 2014 to March 31, 2015

As of December 31, 2015, EFH retail companies were serving 1.489 million residential customers, versus 1.493 million as of September 30, 2015, and 1.500 million a year ago

As of December 31, 2015, EFH retail companies were serving 162,000 small business (< 1 MW) customers, versus 166,000 as of September 30, 2015 and 168,000 a year ago

As of December 31, 2015, EFH retail companies were serving 42,000 large business customers, versus 39,000 as of September 30, 2015 and 29,000 a year ago

Total EFH competitive retail customer count at December 31, 2015 was 1.693 million, versus 1.698 million as of September 30, 2015, and 1.697 million a year ago

For the year 2015, EFH competitive retail volumes were 41,212 GWh, versus 38,511 GWh a year ago. Of the 2015 total, 21,923 GWh were residential sales

For the year 2015, EFH competitive retail revenues were $4.449 billion, versus $4.413 billion a year ago. Of the 2015 total, $2.9 billion were residential sales

The increase in retail sales volumes primarily reflected net increases in business sales volumes, which was offset by lower average retail prices primarily for business market customers.
