Update: Pricing Revealed for Sustainable Westchester NY Municipal Aggregation
RetailEnergyX.com reported yesterday that Sustainable Westchester has selected ConEdison Solutions to supply an initial portion of its opt-out municipal electric aggregation, and aggregation rates have now been revealed.
Pricing for the default product for those communities in the Consolidated Edison utility service area, described as a mix of standard mix of traditional and renewable energy sources, is 7.38¢/kWh for residential customers, and 9.61¢/kWh for non-demand small business customers. These prices are not inclusive of any applicable GRT that a local municipality may levy on ConEdison Solutions.
For an optional 100% product, the price is 7.68¢/kWh for residential customers, and 9.65¢/kWh for non-demand small business customers
ConEdison Solutions was awarded a contract to serve 17 of the SW communities in the Consolidated Edison service area for 24 months with a potential 8 month additional term. This covers 80,000 customers who will be part of the opt-out process. Service is to begin on May 1 or the next meter reading thereafter
The ConEdison Solutions contract is valued at $150 million
A contract for three additional communities in the NYSEG territory (plus the part of one other community partially in NYSEG) is to be awarded in the future
