Unitil-NH Default Service Rates To Decrease 35%

Unitil has filed proposed new default service rates for New Hampshire electric customers, for the six-month period beginning June 1, 2016

For residential customers, the Unitil-NH total default service fixed rate (including RPS adder) would be 5.978¢/kWh for June to November 2016, over 35% lower than the current 9.409¢/kWh

For Non-G1 commercial customers, the Unitil-NH total default service fixed rate would be 5.860¢/kWh for June to November 2016, 35% lower than the current 9.131¢/kWh

Large customer (G1) default service rates are based on ISO-NE market pricing

Unitil selected TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd. as the winning bidder of the small customer (Non-G1) supply requirement (100% share) and Energy America, LLC as the winning bidder of the medium customer (Non-G1) supply requirement (100% share). Exelon Generation Company, LLC was selected as the supplier of the large customer (G1) supply requirement (100% share). All three transactions are for a period of six months
