FirstEnergy Solutions Offering Residential Customers 100% Wind Energy Priced at "Standard" Rate (Switch2Green4Free)
FirstEnergy Solutions launched a new 100% wind electricity offer (Switch2Green4Free) in Pennsylvania and Ohio that is priced the same as its standard non-renewable offer
Although FES previously pulled back from residential marketing, EnergyChoiceMatters.com first reported in October 2015 that FES had resumed limited residential marketing activity, and then later that FES was expanding its resumed residential marketing to include a more widely available green offer, as first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in February
Enrollment in the new wind offer is limited to 1,000 customers across the two states. The offer is available at all of the Ohio EDCs with choice and the seven large Pennsylvania EDCs
At PECO, FES's 100% wind offer is a fixed rate of 7.64 cents per kWh through April 2018
At PPL, FES's 100% wind offer is a fixed rate of 7.56 cents per kWh through April 2018
At Duke Energy Ohio, FES's 100% wind offer is a fixed rate of 5.93 cents per kWh through April 2018
