Centrica Says Direct Energy Sees "Solid" Performance Thus Far in 2016, Growth in Home Segment

Centrica said that it has seen solid delivery in its North America energy supply and services against the backdrop of an exceptionally warm winter, with account growth in its North America Home segment.

Across all of its segments, Centrica executives said that, "despite some headwinds such as continuing low commodity prices and an exceptionally warm winter in North America, we remain on track to deliver our targets in 2016."

Centrica also reported that it has sold over 200,000 smart thermostats and other connected home products in North America
