BGE Files New Purchase of Receivables Discount Rates; Residential Electric Discount Approaches 0%; Gas Discount Up Sharply

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed proposed updates to the electric and natural gas purchase of receivables discount rates, to be effective June 1, 2016.

For all customer classes except residential, the discount rate calculation results in a negative discount rate, which BGE proposes to set at 0% consistent with PSC policy. BGE also yet again called for the PSC to remove late payment revenues as an offset to the POR discount rate, which is largely responsible for the negative discount rates.

Baltimore Gas & Electric's proposed electric POR discount rates, effective June 1, 2016, are as follows:

BGE's natural gas proposed POR discount rates are as follows, effective June 1, 2016:
