BGE Files New Residential, Commercial SOS Rates, Also Updates Transmission, Rider 8

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period October 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017, and Type II SOS rates for the period June 1, 2016 to August 31, 2016.

BGE has also filed new bypassable transmission rates effective June 1, 2016.

For mass market customers, the new SOS rates are marginally lower than both the current rates, and upcoming rates to be in effect from June 1, 2016 through September 30, 2016

BGE's new SOS supply rates are below, in cents per kWh. These rates reflect the SOS energy rate plus the new transmission rate but do not include transmission or reconciliation.

Separately, BGE also filed an updated to bypassable Rider 8, Energy Cost Adjustment (reconciliation) for the period June through September 2016. For residential customers, bypassable Rider 8 will increase about 1 mill/kWh, while for non-lighting Type I customers, bypassable Rider 8 will increase by less than half a mill per kWh.
