Company Acquires Vantage Commodities Financial Services

Big Apple Energy, LLC said in a news release this morning that it has purchased Vantage Commodities Financial Services, LLC.

Among other things, Vantage Commodities Financial Services and affiliates have at times owned various retail suppliers, in some cases as a result of defaults under various financing arrangements.

Vantage Commodities Financial Services has in place a $75,000,000 credit facility with Macquarie Bank Limited (MBL) that was renewed as part of the transaction.

Vantage Commodities Financial Services has brought on Sumit Takkar, formerly of Maple Securities, in the role of President.
