Reporting by Paul Ring • ring@energychoicematters.com

Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas have filed a motion for issuance of a default order which would revoke the REP certificate of TruSmart Energy, LLC, after the company did not respond to prior Staff petition for the revocation of the license

As previously reported, Staff alleged that TruSmart defaulted under the TDU delivery tariffs, and the company also defaulted at ERCOT

A POLR drop was averted as the TruSmart customers were acquired by Now Power (click here for story) and Verde Energy (click here for story), as exclusively reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Staff said that TruSmart failed to request a hearing on the merits of Staff's petition, and more than 30 days have passed since service of the petition and notice of opportunity for hearing, prompting Staff's request for a default order
