TXU Parent Sees Marginal Residential Customer Churn

Energy Future Holdings, parent of TXU Energy and 4Change Energy, saw a marginal decline in its residential competitive retail customer count from December 31, 2015 to March 31, 2016, with the decline in-line with the decline experienced from September 30, 2015 to December 31, 2015

EFH's retail suppliers saw their residential customer count decline by 3,000 from December 31, 2015 to March 31, 2016

That compares to a loss of 4,000 customers from September 30, 2015 to December 31, 2015; a loss of 2,000 residential customers from June 30, 2015 to September 30, 2015; a loss of 8,000 customers from March 31, 2015 to June 30, 2015, and net growth of 4,000 residential customers from December 31, 2014 to March 31, 2015

As of March 31, 2016, EFH retail companies were serving 1.486 million residential customers, versus 1.489 million as of December 31, 2015, and 1.503 million a year ago

EFH has combined its small and large business segments for reporting purposes in its 10-Q.

As of March 31, 2016, EFH retail companies were serving 197,000 business meters, versus 204,000 as of December 31, 2015, and 202,000 a year ago

Total EFH competitive retail customer count at March 31, 2016 was 1.683 million, versus 1.693 million as of December 31, 2015 and 1.705 million a year ago

Total EFH competitive retail electricity volumes for the quarter ending March 31, 2016 were 8,448 GWh, versus 9,471 GWh a year ago. EFH residential competitive retail electricity volumes for the quarter ending March 31, 2016 were 4,228 GWh, versus 5,107 GWh a year ago.

Total EFH competitive retail electricity operating revenues for the quarter ending March 31, 2016 were $877 million, versus $1.053 billion a year ago. EFH residential competitive retail electricity operating revenues for the quarter ending March 31, 2016 were $553 million, versus $691 million a year ago.
