New Supplier Led By Market Veterans Readying to Launch in Retail Choice States

nTherm, LLC, a start-up natural gas supplier, is preparing to launch in several retail choice states

nTherm, originally formed as Aurora NG, LLC in October 2015, currently markets natural gas to transportation customers in Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

It lists Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia as markets that are, "coming soon." It recently applied for a Michigan alternative gas supplier license

nTherm's principal partners were the former owners of Asgard Energy LLC, a retail supplier which was active in five states, mostly across the Great Plains, serving 14,000 customers and 12 bcf annually prior to its sale to CenterPoint Energy Services in October 2011

Specifically, Asgard Energy co-founders Rhett Shumway, David Vastine, and Mike Gregory are among nTherm's principals

Shumway and Vastine also previously co-founded natural gas aggregator RnD Energy LLC.

Shumway serves as nTherm's CEO, and also previously held positions at Oneok Energy Marketing and United Energy Trading

Vastine also previously worked as a consultant for CenterPoint Energy

Gregory previously formed Amkor Natural Gas

Karen Befort serves as Vice President of Operations for nTherm. Befort was previously a sales manager at CenterPoint Energy Services, and a gas marketer at Oneok
