NRG Energy Enters Agreement To Sell Illinois (PJM) Power Plants Totaling Nearly 1,350 MW
Various NRG Energy subsidiaries have entered into an agreement to sell three power plants in Illinois (PJM area) totaling 1,350 MW to subsidiaries of LS Power Development, LLC
Included in the sale are:
• Aurora Generating Station, an approximately 878 MW (summer rating) natural gas-fired generation facility located in Du Page County, Illinois
• Rockford I, an approximately 297 MW (summer rating) natural gas-fired generation facility located in Rockford Illinois
• Rockford II, an approximately 153 MW (summer rating) natural gas-fired generation facility located in Rockford, Illinois
The sale price for the Aurora Generating Station is $365 million, subject to adjustments for working capital and the results of the PJM 2019/2020 Auction
