AEP Texas Files To Refund Certain Transition Charges to Retail Providers
AEP Texas Central Company has filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas to refund about $18 million in transition charges through Rider TC Refund
"AEP TCC will refund a total of $18,144,869 to ratepayers through their REPs within the AEP TCC service territory over an estimated three-month period beginning with the first billing cycle of the September, 2016 billing month which occurs on August 29, 2016," AEP TCC said
AEP TCC had recently ceased charging transition charges under Schedule TC as it made the final payment required under the transition bonds
AEP TCC has filed to refund remaining amounts collected under Schedule TC via Rider TC Refund as follows:
Rider TC Refund:
Residential: $(0.002595) per kWh
Commercial/Small Industrial - Energy: $(0.005704) per kWh
Commercial/Small Industrial - Demand: $(0.951638) per kW or kVa
Large Industrial - Firm: $(1.159100) per kW or kVa
Large Industrial - Non-Firm: $(0.791197) per kW or kVa
Standby - Firm: $(0.075329) per kW or kVa or Daily Rate
Standby - Non-Firm: $(0.101725) per kW or kVa or Daily Rate
Municipal and Cotton Gin: $(0.004460) per kWh
