TDUs Report REP Reimbursements Under Low-Income In-Home Device Provisioning Program

AEP Texas Central and AEP Texas North reported updated data concerning the program under which Texas retail electric providers are reimbursed for providing no-cost programmable communicating thermostats (PCT) and in-home displays (IHD) to eligible low-income customers.

AEP TCC reported that during the reporting period of November 1, 2015, through April 30, 2016, there were 118 Programmable Communicating Thermostats (PCTs) and 59 In-Home Devices (IHDs) distributed in TCC's service territory for a total of 177 devices. TCC provided $47,000 in reimbursements to participating REPs during this period

AEP TCC had previously reported that during the reporting period of November 1, 2015, through February 29, 2016, there were 97 Programmable Communicating Thermostats (PCTs) and 59 In-Home Devices (IHDs) distributed in TCC's service territory for a total of 156 devices, meaning from February 29, 2016 to April 30, 2016, only 21 devices were provided to customers under the program -- all of which were PCTs.

AEP Texas Central recently reported that it has exhausted 75% of funds designated to reimburse retail electric providers for providing free programmable communicating thermostats and in-home displays (collectively, in-home devices) to low-income customers

AEP TCC recently informed the Public Utility Commission of Texas that as of May 23, 2016, approximately $172,500 remains available for reimbursements to the REPs (click for story)

AEP TNC reported that during the reporting period of November 1, 2015, through April 30, 2016, there were 0 Programmable Communicating Thermostats (PCTs) and 0 In-Home Devices (IHDs) distributed in TNC's service territory

As of April 30, there is $182,000 in available funds remaining for REP reimbursements under the program at AEP TNC.
