Former NRG Exec Joins Distributed Energy Provider as VP, Business Development
United Wind, a provider of distributed wind energy solutions, announced that it has hired Joseph Yurcisin as its Vice President, Business Development.
Yurcisin will lead all sales and marketing efforts for the Brooklyn-based wind developer that offers a lease program for end users to generate on-site power from distributed-scale "behind-the-meter" wind turbines.
Yurcisin previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales for NRG Home Solar, where he led a team of 600 and helped establish NRG as the 4th largest residential solar provider in the country.
United Wind said that its WindLease program has attracted over $225M in financing deals from major investors including Statoil, Forum Equity Partners, US Bank and the NY Green Bank.
