Oncor To Issue Refund of Transition Charge Over-collection to REPs

Oncor has filed to refund to retail electric providers an over-collection of transition charges collected under the Rider TC2 - Transition Charge, which the company recently ceased billing as the company made the final scheduled payment on the related bonds

Oncor proposes to refund an over-collection of approximately $9.6 million by establishing Rider TC2-R - Transition Charge Refund to be effective over an estimated two-month period beginning September 1, 2016 (assuming Commission approval no later than August 18, 2016) and using the same Texas SET SAC04 code (MSC036) that was used to bill Rider TC2 transition charges. The refund amount is net of an over-refund related to TC1-R credits

The Rider TC2-R factors facilitating the net refund are expected to be in effect for the two-month period, however, the tariff schedule shall remain in effect until the aggregate amount of $9.6 million has been refunded, regardless of the duration of the period it is effective, at which time Rider TC2-R shall terminate
