Lawyer For Retail Suppliers, End Users Among Recommendations for PUC Commissioner Seat

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) Nominating Council submitted the names of four finalists to be considered by Gov. John Kasich for the position of commissioner of the PUCO to fill an unexpired term ending April 10, 2020.

The Nominating Council recommended the following individuals:

• Sam Gerhardstein

• Dave Hall

• M. Howard Petricoff

• Gregory Williams

M. Howard Petricoff has served as partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, typically representing retail suppliers or end users, in a 30-year career in utility law.

Sam Gerhardstein formerly served as Director of Governmental Affairs at Columbia Gas of Ohio and is currently President of Capitol Success Consulting, LLC, a lobbying firm. Gerhardstein previously served as Deputy Director, Legislative Affairs at PUCO

Gregory Williams previously served in the Office of PUCO Commissioner Andre T. Porter, as a senior law clerk under Governor Kasich, and as an associate at Whitt Sturtevant LLP

Dave Hall is an Ohio State Representative currently serving his third term
