Default Service Rate to Fall 25%

The New Hampshire PUC approved a 25% decrease in the default service rate for residential and small commercial customers at Granite State Electric (Liberty Utilities)

Granite State Electric's default service rate for residential and small commercial customers (Small Customer Group) will be 6.868¢/kWh for the six-month period beginning August 1, 2016. The rate includes the RPS adder

The current Granite State Electric default service rate is 9.221¢/kWh (including RPS adder).

For the Large Customer Group, the following default service rates (including the RPS adder) were set:

August 2016       5.858¢/kWh
September 2016    5.515¢/kWh
October 2016      5.371¢/kWh
November 2016     6.265¢/kWh
December 2016     7.973¢/kWh
January 2017     10.551¢/kWh

TransCanada Power Marketing, LTD was the winning bidder to supply default service to the Small Customer Group for the six-month period from August 1, 2016, through January 31, 2017.

Energy America, LLC was the winning bidder to supply default service for the two Large Customer Group three-month blocks for the combined six-month period from August 1, 2016, through January 31, 2017.
