Start-up Retail Supplier Not Entering New York, Cites "Regulatory Uncertainty"
Start-up retail supplier Aspirity Energy said that it does not currently intend to enter the New York market, citing, "regulatory uncertainty."
Parent Aspirity Holdings, LLC said in a 10-Q that, "Note that while we intend to join NYISO, become a licensed energy service company in New York, and qualify to do business with 6 IOUs serving about 5.8 million residential accounts, we currently do not anticipate entering those markets due to regulatory uncertainty with respect to the contracts that may be sold there."
