Ethical Electric Passes One Billion Kilowatt-Hours Served to Retail Electricity Customers
Ethical Electric announced it recently passed one billion total kilowatt-hours (kWh) served to retail electricity customers across America.
Ethical Electric said that it has grown quickly since it launched in 2012 through several rounds of private investment and said that it is now the fourth-largest direct-to-consumer renewable retail energy provider in the United States, expanding to eight states and the District of Columbia through campaign-based micro-targeting.
Ethical Electric said that it directly supports wind farms in states including Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and the company is expanding its offerings to include community solar and other renewable energy generation access as a founding Leadership member of the Coalition for Community Solar Access.
Ethical Electric also recently passed $1 million in total corporate donations to environmental and social impact organizations, nearly doubling total donations since early 2015.
