The Retail Energy Supply Association said that it will be filing comments with the District of Columbia PSC by August 23, 2016 in which RESA will present a proposal that would reshape the current structure of SOS in D.C. and replace it with, "a retail SOS model."

"RESA will provide a framework for transitioning to a retail SOS model by June 2019 and, by June 2021 to a fully competitive retail model," RESA said

RESA's upcoming comments will be in response to a June order (click here for story) from the PSC seeking comments on the future of SOS

RESA informed the PSC that it would soon be making such a proposal in asking that the PSC refrain from taking action on the annual Pepco RFP for SOS, to the extent the RFP calls for contract durations that would extend beyond June 2019, until the Commission has had an opportunity to consider RESA’s comments on the SOS model
