In unsurprising comments, given comments filed earlier in the proceeding, Exelon Generation Company, LLC wants to maintain the current wholesale electricity SOS model in the District of Columbia, including the use of three-year contracts for mass market customers

"[T]he existing procurement process insulates customers from the volatility of any given procurement period through a structure which bids out only a portion of Pepco’s load for three-year periods (and one-year periods for large C&I supply) at each procurement cycle," ExGen said

"[P]otential bidders are interested in the well-defined three-year and one-year SOS supply products and are comfortable pricing such products through the RFP process ... ExGen believes that the current SOS structure, including Pepco’s position as SOS administrator, will best serve to continue to meet the needs of the Pepco’s consumers and promote the continued development of competitive wholesale and retail markets in the District," ExGen said

In separately filed comments, new ExGen affiliate Pepco also essentially recommended maintaining all major aspects of the current SOS structure, including its role as SOS administrator, with no changes in contract lengths or pricing (Pepco opposed mandatory hourly pricing)

ExeGen's and Pecpo's separately filed comments came in a PSC docket reviewing the structure of SOS (FC 1017)
