BioUrja Power, LLC has submitted an application to the United States Department of Energy's Office of Electricity Delivery & Energy Reliability for authorization to transmit electric energy from the United States (including from ERCOT) to Mexico

BioUrja Power, LLC is 51% owned by BioUrja Trading, LLC and 49% owned by CoKaMo2, LLC.

BioUrja Trading, LLC is active in trading and managing commodities across the energy spectrum, with most of its focus to date (based on its website) encompassing gasoline, biofuels, crude oil, and natural gas. It received FERC market-based rate electricity authority in early 2016

CoKaMo2, LLC exists solely to hold interest in BioUrja Power, LLC.

BioUrja Trading does not currently own or control electric generation or transmission facilities, "and does not have a power supply of its own in the United States on which its exports of power could have a reliability, fuel use, or system stability impact," BioUrja Trading said in its DOE application

The electric power that BioUrja Trading will export, on either a firm or interruptible basis, will be purchased from others (generators, marketers, electric utilities, etc.) voluntarily, "and therefore will be surplus to the needs of the selling entities," BioUrja Trading said in its DOE application

Among other lines, BioUrja Trading's DOE application sought authority to export power over transmission facilities owned by AEP Texas Central and Sharyland Utilities
