Regulator Directs Temporary Alternative Mechanism For Retail Suppliers' Disclosure Label Compliance Filings

The Connecticut PURA has directed suppliers with September due dates to use an alternative mechanism for filing certain compliance information, in light of technical issues.

Retail suppliers are periodically required to submit post information (e.g., rates and charges, resource mix percentages, air emissions and all disclosure labels) to PURA's Electric Supplier Information Database (ESID)

However, a supplier noted that it has attempted to comply with the directive (due by September 20 for this particular supplier); however, it has encountered system compatibility issues with posting information to the ESID.

Specifically, the supplier has received error messages when attempting to select and populate various form fields within the ESID.

PURA acknowledged the technical issues, and directed that, until further notice, suppliers shall file disclosure label information in their licensing docket.

"Any licensed electric supplier that has an annual September compliance obligation is directed to file its disclosure label information in its individual licensing docket on or before September 30, 2016," PURA said
