PSNH Provides Estimate of 2017 Default Service Rates
Public Service Company of New Hampshire (Eversource) filed with the New Hampshire PUC a preliminary estimate of its default service rate for the period beginning January 1, 2017.
PSNH preliminary estimates that the default service rate effective on January 1, 2017 will be 10.99 cents per kilowatt-hour including bypassable scrubber-related costs. Excluding the scrubber costs, the base default energy service rate is forecast at 9.27 cents per kilowatt-hour
Currently, PSNH's default service rate is 10.95 cents per kilowatt-hour including scrubber-related costs (9.23 cents per kilowatt-hour without scrubber-related costs)
PSNH's filing represents only a preliminary estimate and is not a formal request to set the rate at a particular level. PSNH will file a final request to set the new default service rates in December based on updated data.
PSNH included an updated migration forecast in its filing. The updated migration forecast assumes an average migration of 56.9 percent in 2017, while PSNH's prior forecast estimated 54.5 percent migration for 2016
