CenterPoint-TDU Fully Exhausts Funds For REP Low-Income Smart Energy Device Reimbursements; AEP TCC Distributes 90% Of Funds
CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC reported that all of its funds under the low-income smart device program (under which Texas REPs are reimbursed for providing no-cost programmable communicating thermostats (PCT) and in-home displays (IHD) to eligible low-income customers) have been exhausted
CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, which had previously notified REPs of the expected exhaustion of funds, exhausted the funds as it paid invoices to REPs for September deployments, with such invoices paid on a first come, first served basis.
Separately, AEP Texas Central informed REPs that it has exhausted 90% of its designated funds available under the program.
As of October 4, 2016, approximately $64,000 is available for reimbursements to the REPs at AEP Texas Central
