Duquesne Light Mass Market Default Service Rates To Fall; Medium C&I Rate Increases 20%

Duquesne Light filed with the Pennsylvania PUC new default service supply rates for the period beginning December 1, 2016.

The default service supply rate, or supply charge, reflects generation supply only; unlike the official Prices to Compare which also reflect transmission and the state tax adjustment surcharge. Official new PTCs have not yet been posted

The supply charge for Residential (Rate Schedules RS, RH and RA) customers will decrease from 5.8666¢/kWh to 5.6261¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2016, through May 31, 2017.

The supply charge for Small Commercial & Industrial customers (<25 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH and Rate Schedule UMS) will decrease from 5.4533¢/kWh to 5.2750¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2016, through May 31, 2017.

The supply charge for Medium Commercial & Industrial customers (25-300 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH) will increase from 4.8791¢/kWh to 5.8590¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2016, through February 28, 2017.

The supply charge for Lighting (Rate Schedules AL and SE) customers will decrease from 4.2760¢/kWh to 4.0971¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2016, through May 31, 2017.
