The New Hampshire PUC has approved new default service rates at Unitil for the period beginning December 1, 2016

For residential customers, the fixed default service rate will increase about 30% to 7.690¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017, from the current 5.978¢/kWh (both rates include RPS adder).

For small commercial and outdoor lighting customers, the fixed default service rate will increase about 25% to 7.324¢/kWh for the period December 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017, from the current 5.860¢/kWh (both rates include RPS adder).

The rates above reflect an energy component of 7.326¢/kWh for the residential customer group, and 6.960¢/kWh for small commercial and outdoor lighting customers. The residential and small C&I rates above reflect an updated RPS adder of 0.364¢/kWh (versus the current 0.218¢/kWh)

For G1 customers (large C&I), who pay a monthly default service rate based on ISO-NE prices, the RPS adder for December 2016 will be 0.361¢/kWh. For the months January through May, 2017, G1 customers will pay an RPS adder of 0.683¢/kWh.

Unitil selected NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC, to supply 100% of the power supply requirements to residential customers, and to supply 100% of the power supply requirements to small commercial and outdoor lighting customers, for the six-month period beginning December 1, 2016.

Unitil selected Exelon Generation Company, LLC, to provide 100% of the power supply requirements for the G1 customer group for the six-month period beginning December 1, 2016.
