Retail Supplier Holding Company Announces Distribution Increases for Fourth Quarter 2016, Intends to Continue to Increase Distributions in 2017

Crius Energy Trust announced today that the Board of Directors of Crius Energy Administrator Inc., the administrator of the Trust, has approved a 2% increase to distributions paid on units of the Trust representing an annualized increase of $0.0149 per Unit and a total annualized distribution of $0.7578 per Unit (all $ Canadian).

Accordingly, distributions on Units for the months of October 2016, November 2016 and December 2016 will be paid at a rate of $0.0632 per Unit, representing a 2% increase over the previous annualized distribution rate of $0.7429 per Unit.

"Management and the Board are very pleased with the ongoing positive impacts of the Company's growth strategy in our deregulated energy and solar businesses, evident by the fourth 2% distribution increase for the year," commented Michael Fallquist, CEO of Crius Energy. "With strong prospects for ongoing growth and a very conservative payout ratio, the Board is confident that it will be able to continue increasing distributions in 2017, and will re-evaluate further distribution increases beyond the end of next year."
