Owners of Retail Supplier Sell Interests In Broker
Several individuals who own membership interests in North American Power sold their interests in broker Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC.
Prior to the ownership change, Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC had described itself as "completely separate from, and non-legally affiliated with, North American Power and Gas, LLC," though Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC shared certain members with North American Power (specifically, at the time of the creation of Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC, Carey Turnbull, Kerry Breitbart, and William Kinneary).
In an Ohio regulatory filing, Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC updated its license information to remove the following individuals under a section entitled "Principal Officers, Directors and Partners" of Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC's previously filed license application: Carey Turnbull, Kerry Breitbart, and William Kinneary. These three individuals were also removed from the "Corporate Structure" section of Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC's previously filed Ohio license application
In the Ohio regulatory filing, Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC updated its "Corporate Structure" section to list Rick Beckwith as, "Owner of Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions."
North American Power confirmed to EnergyChoiceMatters.com that certain of its members sold their interests in Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC. North American Power said that it arranged a sale with the individual that had been the primary manager of Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC to have that individual own Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC outright
North American Power explained that Commercial and Industrial Energy Solutions, LLC had been created to serve, and broker accounts for, large non-residential accounts procured under North American Power's then-existing networking marketing channel. North American Power ceased using the network marketing channel in January 2015.
Additionally, earlier this year North American Power began supplying large C&I customers directly under its new North American Power Business brand, which recently announced a formal launch after a soft launch earlier in 2016 (see story here). Today, North American Power's C&I customer strategy is to engage brokers and customers through North American Power Business
