TXU, Affiliates See Steady Retail Customer Count During Third Quarter
The competitive retail electric suppliers formerly owned by Energy Future Holdings, including TXU Energy and 4Change Energy, saw no net change in their customer count from June 30, 2016 to September 30, 2016, according to an EFH 10-Q.
After the close of the third quarter, EFH spun off its competitive businesses, including its retail suppliers such as TXU, into TCEH Corp.
The EFH 10-Q covers the period during which TXU and other suppliers were still owned by EFH.
EFH reported that as of September 30, 2016, its then-owned retail suppliers were serving 1.483 million residential customers, which is equal to the number served as of June 30, 2016, and compares to 1.493 million served as of a year ago.
EFH reported that as of September 30, 2016, its then-owned retail suppliers were serving 196,000 business customers, which is equal to the number served as of June 30, 2016, and compares to 205,000 served as of a year ago.
EFH reported that as of September 30, 2016, its then-owned retail suppliers were serving 1.679 million total customers, which is equal to the number served as of June 30, 2016, and compares to 1.698 million served as of a year ago.
