United Illuminating Default Service Rates To Increase 12-15%

United Illuminating's residential Standard Service Generation Services Charge (GSC) will increase 15% on January 1, while the small C&I GSC will increase 12%

The January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017 UI residential (Rate R) Generation Services Charge (GSC) will be 9.2641¢/kWh, 15% higher than the current UI Rate R GSC of 8.0224¢/kWh.

Both GSC rates include the bypassable Federally Mandated Congestion Charge (FMCC) of 0.0376¢/kWh

The Rate GS rate will see a similar increase from about 8.03¢/kWh to 9.0070¢/kWh (rates include bypassable FMCC)

New Standard Service rates for January 2017 through June 2017 are as follows, in cents per kWh (for Rates LPT & GST, rates only applicable for customers under 500 kW). Standard Service rates include the bypassable FMCC
