PECO Surpasses 500,000 Residential Shopping Customers; PA Sees Largest Residential Shopping Growth Since Spring

During October, PECO surpassed half a million residential electric accounts on competitive supply, while Pennsylvania saw statewide residential shopping increase by the highest number of accounts in a month since March 2016

With new growth of over 1,300 residential electric shoppers from late September to late October, PECO ended October with 500,010 residential customers on competitive electric supply.

Statewide, Pennsylvania saw residential electric shopping increase by an aggregate of 3,900 accounts from late September to late October (reporting date varies slightly by utility), versus last month's decline in residential shopping of 350 accounts.

Of the seven large EDCs, only PPL and Duquesne Light saw a decline in residential shopping from late September to late October
