Retail Supplier Names New EVP of M&A
Crius Energy Trust has named Ravi Thuraisingham as Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions
Thuraisingham is a 15-year veteran of the deregulated energy and solar industries, and previously served as President of American Solar Direct, which he co-founded. Thuraisingham also previously served as an executive at USG&E.
Thuraisingham's appointment highlights Crius's commitment to focus on M&A and to accretively grow its business, said Michael Fallquist, Chief Executive Officer of Crius Energy Trust
Fallquist noted that Crius has executed seven acquisitions since its IPO, and said there is, "quite a bit of opportunity" for M&A to accelerate growth
Most M&A will be on deregulated energy, Fallquist said, as Crius looks for customer portfolios that are additive and either allow the company to derive benefits from the operating leverage in the business, diversify its book, or acquire unique sales channel to drive organic growth, as Crius remains committed to organic growth as well.
Fallquist said opportunistic solar acquisitions are also possible
