Energy Market Veteran Launches New Price Comparison, Shopping Website

Energy Deals LLC is launching a new energy shopping and price comparison website: energypricechoice.com

Energy Deals is owned by Dennis Giancola, a 30-year veteran of the energy industry who founded and is President of broker-consultant H. P. Technologies, Inc.

Energypricechoice.com offers comparisons for residential and business electricity and natural gas service in several Northeast states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Michigan, and Connecticut, among others

The company said that the site (http://www.energypricechoice.com) is meant to, "make a significant number of energy price choices accessible to consumers -- not just a single option that’s already been chosen for the consumer by the community."

"Although a proponent of city-wide and community aggregation, Dennis Giancola, owner of Energy Deals, doesn’t believe that aggregation programs offer the best solution. Why? Because it takes the decision-making power out of the hands of the consumer, and doesn’t necessarily redirect that decision to the hands of experts, putting the primary purpose -- the ultimate interest of the consumer -- in jeopardy," the company said

The company said that the site was developed, "[t]o combat this practice and return energy decisions to the hands of the consumers," and to, "epitomize what deregulation was intended to accomplish: create competition, present competitive prices, and let the consumer decide."
