Maine Discloses Standard Offer Suppliers

The Maine PUC has disclosed Standard Offer suppliers for the calendar year 2017.

The PUC designated TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd. as the Standard Offer provider to serve 2/3 of the residential and small non-residential class in the Central Maine Power (CMP) service territory for the 12-month term beginning January 1, 2017. The PUC designated NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC to serve the remaining 1/3 of the residential and small non-residential class at CMP for 2017.

For the medium non-residential class at CMP, the PUC designated as Standard Offer providers for the 12-month term beginning January 1, 2017: TransCanada Power Marketing for 80% of the requirements and Constellation Energy Commodities Group Maine, LLC for the remaining 20% of the requirements.

The PUC designated NextEra Energy Power Marketing as the Standard Offer provider for all of the large non-residential class at CMP

At Bangor Hydro-Electric (Emera), the PUC designated New Brunswick Energy Marketing Corporation as the Standard Offer provider to serve 100% of the residential and small non-residential (commercial) load for the one-year term beginning January 1, 2017. The PUC designated TransCanada Power Marketing as the Standard Offer provider for all of the medium commercial/industrial class at BHE for the one-year term beginning January 1, 2017.

The PUC designated Maine Power, LLC as the Standard Offer provider for all the large commercial/industrial class at BHE for the one-year term starting January 1, 2017.
