NRG Ceasing Use of Everything Energy Brand, Transitions Texas Customers To NRG Sister Companies
NRG Energy's Everything Energy brand has ceased enrolling new customers, and will be transitioning its customers to various other NRG brands.
Everything Energy was used by NRG as one of its Texas retail electricity brands.
"To more effectively service Everything Energy’s current customer base, a decision was made to consolidate the business with sister companies Reliant and Cirro Energy, which are owned by the same parent company, NRG Energy, Inc.," an NRG Retail spokesperson told EnergyChoiceMatters.com.
Everything Energy will begin transferring accounts to Reliant and Cirro Energy on or around customer meter read dates in January. Everything Energy plans to complete this process by mid-February.
NRG has no plans to resume enrollments under the Everything Energy in the future.
The full statement from an NRG Retail spokesperson is below:
"As of December 16, 2016, Everything Energy is no longer enrolling new customers. There are no plans to resume future enrollments. To more effectively service Everything Energy’s current customer base, a decision was made to consolidate the business with sister companies Reliant and Cirro Energy, which are owned by the same parent company, NRG Energy, Inc. Everything Energy will begin transferring accounts to Reliant and Cirro Energy on or around customer meter read dates in January. Everything Energy plans to complete this process by mid-February."
