Given Gravity of NY Developments, NEM Opens Winter Executive, Policy Development Meeting To All ESCOs
Due to the gravity of the current state of affairs in New York, the National Energy Marketers Association has opened its annual winter executive committee and policy development meeting to all members and prospective members, and all ESCOs are invited to attend.
The executive committee and policy development meeting, to be held January 16-18 in Orlando, Florida, will include a discussion of strategy to preserve retail energy choice in New York.
Other agenda topics include:
• Retrenchment and Re-Regulation -- with a particular focus on New York strategy, as well as Michigan, and developments related to restrictions on service to CAP customers at PPL in Pennsylvania
• New Markets and Opportunity -- with a particular focus on progress in Nevada to introduce retail electric choice
• Impact Of New Presidential Administration On Energy Policies -- FERC leadership, wholesale energy, etc.
• Satisfying the Regulatory Mandate for Increased Value Added Products and Services Through Competitive Retail Providers
