New Texas Retail Supplier Led By Retail Market Vets Receives License

The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted GBPOWER, LLC an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate, with authorization to use the trade name G-POWER

As previously reported, several Texas retail electric market veterans are among the leadership of start-up retail electric provider GBPOWER, LLC

According to GBPOWER's initial REP application filed in December, Luis Cantu serves as Chairman and CEO of GBPOWER, LLC and is also a manager of the LLC. Cantu owns several companies outside of the energy industry, including a sales & technology business consultant, and is an attorney and partner at Torres, Cantu & Associates, P.C.

According to GBPOWER's initial REP application filed in December, Rico de los Reyes serves as EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at GBPOWER, LLC and is also a manager of the LLC. de los Reyes was previously Vice President of Operations, Sales & Marketing at broker RPL Enterprises, LLC and EVP and COO at Bose Energy. de los Reyes also previously held positions at TXU, Just Energy, and Onpac Energy

According to GBPOWER's initial REP application filed in December, Jeread Anzaldua serves as COO at GBPOWER, LLC was previously VP of Operations at Just Energy and has held VP positions at True Electric and Bose Energy

According to GBPOWER's initial REP application filed in December, Yogesh Bhatt serves as President of GBPOWER, LLC and is also a manager of the LLC.

According to GBPOWER's initial REP application filed in December, Joanna Cortez serves as VP of Customer Service/Support at GBPOWER, LLC. Cortez has previously served as Director of Operations at Bose Power & Electric and Customer Service Manager/Director at Bounce Energy, and has held similar roles at Just Energy and Hino Electric
